Woodland Christmas trees look nothing like the perfect ones for sale in town. They're often misshapen, have "bare spots" (as mama called them), and usually require some fishing line tied to them and secured to something nearby to stand up straight. But once they're brought inside, shown some attention and dressed up, they sparkle. Like life. It's not perfect. Far from it. But with compassion, love, and optimism, it becomes as bright as one wants it to be. ✌🏼♥️🎄✌🏼Charlie Brown tree up and decorated. 🎄✌🏼🎄This is the moon in the western sky this morning. Unbelievable. 🎄✌🏼And then, this happened. ✌🏼Social Media

Fast Cars, Loud Music
I have a confession to make. I love driving fast, listening to pop music (all of it — rap, too), and dancing — all at the same time. And I can dance while sitting in my car. Believe it. In … Continue reading

Leave it up to Mick and the boys – they do have a way with words. But they are right you know – we do spend an inordinate amount of time looking for and struggling to acquire what we think … Continue reading
The Genius Keeps “Georgia On My Mind”
Ray Charles was a genius. His voice was as rich as divinity candy and as smooth as Kentucky bourbon. His final album, Genius Loves Company, was released in September 2004, four months after his death. It was his first top-10 album in forty years … Continue reading

Another Love Song for Love Month
“Some Kind of Wonderful“, which was written by John Ellison and first recorded by his group, Soul Brothers Six, in 1967, was and continues to be one of my favorites. It only made it to number 91 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, but remains … Continue reading
